A Little Encouragement for Your Day

Hi ladies! How was your study yesterday? I hope it was fantabulous! Isn’t God’s Word absolutely amazing!

Today, I thought I’d just send out a little encouragement from Ecclesiastes! You girls know my Bible study is coming out soon and I’ve got Ecclesiastes on the brain – but that’s a good thing – right! 🙂

“I returned and saw under the sun that—

The race is not to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor bread to the wise,
Nor riches to men of understanding,
Nor favor to men of skill;
But time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11

It’s okay if you’re not the best, the prettiest, the strongest, the most intelligent, the most qualified or the most anything else. God is with you. It is He that works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

You’re not counted out because your not the most whatever. In fact, God may want to use you just because of that reason.

“Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.” 1 Corinthians 1:25-27

I’m so thankful these verses give me hope that I don’t have to be all that and a bag of chips for God to use me! What about you?

  1. Our minds think alike at times, my friend. I was blogging today about the things I'm called to do by God are some of the very places in my life I have allowed fear to take root. So yes, this is an encouraging passage to me. THank you, my friend!

  2. Precious post, sweetie! So encouraging! Thank you! We all need a boost now and then. Love your heart! xoxox

  3. Hi Donna ~ A long time ago, someone told me they didn't want to do something because they weren't worthy or qualified. I remember telling her that not one of is worthy…not one of us is truly qualified.

    That's what put us in the position to be most used of God!

    When we no that, we can face everything He calls us to with NO FEAR!!

  4. Lynn ~ I wish I knew you personally! Maybe one day…but I want you to know that your life truly does inspire mine! I know (or at least I think) I've told you this before, but it's so true!
