I’ve MISSED You Like Crazy!

WOW! It seems like it’s been FOREVER since we’ve been together here in cyberspace! You sweet ladies have been SO super patient and I want you to know you have been on my heart and in my prayers for months!

Well… here it is! My new home on the world wide web! My precious friend and web designer, Holly Smith, did it and I have to tell you, not only do I LOVE her because she’s such a beautiful and gracious woman of God, but she’s also an amazing web designer who is able to translate this tech challenged girl’s words into pictures. SO…a big THANK YOU to Holly Smith for turning my pitiful descriptive words into my new and inviting home.

OH…and I lost all my email subscribers, so please be sure to subscribe again! Sorry for the inconvenience, but you know how tech stuff can do you like that.

AND…I’m giving a way a copy of my Bible study on Ecclesiastes. So if you comment, share about my new site on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll be entered to win. The drawing will be held Tuesday evening after 9:00 p.m. and announced on Wednesday’s post. So you precious ladies have lots of time to comment and share!

So, sweet friends,Β welcome to my new home! Come on in, grab a cup of coffee, curl up in your favorite spot and join me for a ‘word from the Word’! Today, we will begin breaking the bondage of thinking we are still broken when Christ says we are COMPLETE IN HIM!

Now it’s your turn! Time to SHARE YOUR HEART! What makes you feel like you’re still broken? What holds you captive to who you were and prevents you from walking in who you are? Can you share something that would minister to others who read this?

  6. You didn’t lose me as an email subscriber! It showed up this morning bright and early, while I was still sleeping. Do I still have to sign up again so you can see something?

    Broken.
I guess I still feel broken because I have not yet “arrived”. I know none of us will until Jesus comes again, but there are many pieces that are still earth-bound, still needing fixing. The Lord is fixing me, refining me, I just have a hard time seeing it day-to-day. I see it in retrospect, if I see it at all! LOL! I do not let this discourage me, or at least not so bad that I quit meeting with him in the morning. And I don’t really feel captive by this thought. No matter how discouraged I get with the worldly cares of my life, I cling to Jesus. He is my only hope. I see too clearly how everything else is just, uuuuummmm, not worth it. Not worth the importance so many place on it. The Lord is winnowing my life down to just the essentials. It is kind of scary, but knowing he is in control, I continue to relinquish my desires to him, as often as I remember.

    • Thanks for letting me know that I didn’t lose everyone Jeanne! Wow! My Feedburner doesn’t show any of my previous email subscribers, so it looked like I had lost them all. I’m SO glad I didn’t!

And thanks for sharing those sweet words of wisdom about being broken! I love how you said, “I see too clearly how everything is just, uuuuummmmm, not worth it.” I’m a bottome-line kind of girl so I LOVE that bottom-line statement! πŸ™‚

  7. Stephanie,
It does seems like months! Missed you and your encouraging, challenging emails.
The new website looks just right. πŸ™‚

  8. Just found you from today’s Facebook connection & I’m going through exactly the same process you are so it was so great to find you. I finally, after a couple of years on blogspot, was able to find my way to a new blog/website with my name just like you did. I’m excited to watch what you have in store. Congratulations on the new blog!

    • Gindi,
Thanks for popping in. Not only have you and I been going through the same process at the same time, it seems like we were on each other’s pages at the same time. πŸ™‚

Your blog is beautiful and I look forward to staying in touch! πŸ™‚

  9. Hi Stephanie, Love your new site! One thing that often trips me up and keeps me in slavery to my old nature is my “wanter.” You know, wanting things that the world says I need, things I thing I have to have in order to be happy. But then I discover that those things don’t bring me joy after all.

    • Hi Sharla!
Thanks for popping in for the ‘unveiling’! LOVE hearing from you!

And thanks for the words of wisdom! What a great reminder that we still live in this flesh and it is constantly calling to us to revert to who we were, not walk in who we are! πŸ™‚

  10. I’m excited to join u. And the site is easy to navigate. I love your down to earth attitude.

    • Hi Jeanette!
Thanks so much for popping in and taking the time to comment! And thank you SO much for the very kind and encouraging words! Looking forward to hearing from you as we dive into the series, Broken No More.

  11. I think I am still broken because I do not know how to share my testimony…it is so long, I feel I could write a book. How can you share everything from your childhood till now…so many things have happened. I have been able to share with girls who are in prison, who have been beaten and abused, because I have gone through that. I can share with others how I had been sexually groped by a so called loved one. I can share about broken marriages, cause I have been in them. I can share how I have had a chain of sexual events, that seemed to just get larger as larger, that has started from the age of five. I have been condemned in the womb from my own mother…but…..Christ has been with me thru it all, and He never left me, even when I left Him. He always had my back, when I turned my back on Him. And even though I committed so many sins, He died on the cross to cover all those sins. If you met me, you would not think I have been thru all that..and more that I have not mentioned, for I always have a smile on my face. Jesus saved me, but sometimes feel still broken, some ends still need tied up, but I no longer feel guilt or shame, though satan likes to throw some things up every once in awhile.
Thank you for letting me share, that always helps.

    • Hi Robin!

It looks like you and I have traveled some similar roads and have found that Jesus truly does make beauty out of ashes! I hope you stick with me through this series and are willing to continue to share your heart! Thank you so much for being transparent! I’m SO glad you no longer are bound by guilt or shame! There’s such freedom in Christ! Don’t you just love how He loves us! πŸ™‚

  12. Cannot wait to hear more!

  13. Ooo…I love the new digs! Way to go, Holly!

To share? Release and receive. Believe and see. “Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40 Amp

    • Hi Lynn!
Thank you SO much! Holly rocks, doesn’t she!

I LOVE your words of wisdom too! Release and receive! And I LOVE the verse you shared. It’s the verse you share on your site, isn’t it?

      Hugs! πŸ™‚

  14. I love the new site. It is totally amazing. I would love to be entered into the contest. I am always looking for Bible study material to share with the nursing home residents I meet with each Tuesday they are so hungry for truth.
