Broken No More 4

Sweet friends, who we are positionally is oftentimes not lived out in our reality and we walk around broken from the experience of our past not realizing that our identity has healed us.

You may sometimes feel invisible, incapable, inadequate and unloveable, but the truth is that not only are you complete in Christ, but you have never escaped His view…not even for a second.

You are loved with an everlasting love; you are the apple of His eye, He has inscribed you upon the palm of His hand and called you by name; you are a beautiful masterpiece ~ a Divine design ~ carefully crafted by the Creator of the universe; He knows the thoughts of your heart and the number of hairs on your head; He will never leave you or forsake you; He has made you more than a conqueror through Christ and a wonderful warrior of the Most High God; He sees you right now…everything you’re going through…everything you’ve been through…and He promises to weave the ugly strands of your life into something beautiful and useful in the Master’s hands. He is your Lord and your Savior – your Refuge and your Redeemer – He is you Hope and your Peace. He is your God!

AND YOU, DEAR ONE…WELL, YOU ARE BROKEN NO MORE!

Today, will you take some time to understand who you are – what your new identity looks like – the benefits that come with who we are in Christ – the expectations/responsibilities that come with our new identity.

To really get a better foundation of who you are in Christ, look up the verses that coincide with your identity. I’ve provided most of the verses in the Amplified so you can get a bit of a better look at the depth of each word. If you have some extra time, look up the definitions in a Bible dictionary or dust off your Concordance and do some digin’.

  1. If I were to be honest, I struggled quite a bit with truly believing that the God of the universe loves me more than I could ever imagine, and that I am His temple. Even though I am His creation and everything He creates is beautiful, I more often than not don’t feel that way. Stephanie, your posts have given me strength, hope, and a feeling of worthiness. Your story has showed me that no matter how broken we may have been in our past we are made anew in Christ and are BROKEN NO MORE. For the longest time my life verses have been 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, ” Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”, but now I finally have let it sunk in and truly understand what it means. You have truly been an inspiration to me and I love you so much! I am proud to call you my friend and my sister in Christ!

    • Lindsy,
You are such a blessing! We all go through times when we ‘feel’ unloved and unloveable…but that’s why it’s so important that we don’t allow our hearts to define us…or our past…or what others have said or thought. I hope you had a chance to look up those verses and see that you are fearfully and wonderfully made! Treasured! 🙂
