Hi sweet friends! This week I’m over at Jennifer Rothchild’s site, Women’s Ministry Net sharing about 5 ways you can make mentoring missional.
Recently, someone asked me why I started The M.O.M. Initiative and I kept thinking…because I couldn’t get past the question, “WHAT IF?”
WHAT IF…half of the evangelical churches in America would begin a solid mentoring ministry within the four walls of their church? Wouldn’t that make a difference in the lives of the mothers and their children that enter the church doors?
WHAT IF…those churches that had a solid mentoring ministry would see that mentoring is a powerful tool to not only leave a legacy of faith but also to reach their communities and this culture with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? Wouldn’t that be a powerful evangelistic tool that could help mold the heart of this nation and this world?
WHAT IF…each church would get involved in the lives of young moms and share the love of Jesus with those who know Christ as well as those who don’t? Wouldn’t that help young Christian moms have a strong faith and help those who don’t know Christ come to know the One who loved them so much that He died for them?
WHAT IF…women started mentoring moms in juvenile shelters and prisons? Wouldn’t they come out a different mom then when they enterd in? At least many of them?
Wouldn’t mentoring moms change everything?
