Trusting God in the Trials

I’ve been hearing from a lot of women lately who are going through troubled times.

Me too!

Sometimes, life can just be hard.

We weren’t promised it would be easy. But we were promised God would be with us.

The promise of His presence really does change everything.

Moses wouldn’t move forward without knowing God was with Him.

Joshua had the promise of His presence.

David was given the promise of God’s presence.

Isaiah and Jeremiah were promised God would be with them.

And so are you. And so am I.

Throughout the Word of God and throughout history, men and women walked through difficult times and accomplished the impossible because God was with them.

When life is easy…and when life is hard. God is with us and that makes all the difference in the world.

“But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
    he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
    I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
    and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
    Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
Because you are precious in my eyes,
    and honored, and I love you,”

Isaiah 43:1-4 (ESV)

God is with us in the trials and we can trust Him. Even when we don’t see what He is doing. He is actively working on our behalf because HE IS FOR US.

He is FOR you, sweet friend and you can trust Him.

What is it that you are going through today that is trying your faith? How can I pray for you?

  1. Got to share some words my granny used to say. “Baby, it is a great life if you don’t weaken”. Of course it took me getting grown almost to figure out just what that meant. For her it meant staying strong in mind and thoughts at that time of her life. Later on in life she realized that it meant staying strong in Christ through the weakness! I praise the Lord for those words of wisdom though. But I praise Him even more that I have His Word! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. Thanks so much. Please pray for my continued struggle with fear and for where God is leading me with my job. Whether I should continue in it, or change directions completely and stay home for my kids. I feel God pulling me to do that, but I just don’t know if that’s really whats going on and if I can actually have the strength to do it. I’ve been brought up that you work, and thats your worth, but I know as I become closer to God that being a Mom and leading my children with my husband, is far more important! I’ll be praying for you too! 🙂

    • Praying with your Missy, as the Lord leads you! I remember feeling like the Lord was leading me to stay home and take care of my hubby, home and my boys. It wasn’t easy, but as I prayed, I asked the Lord to work in my hubby’s heart and God began to do a work and I was able to stay home and was even able to homeschool.

      Thank you for praying for me too! 🙂

  3. Thanks Steph! This is where I’m living right now. 🙂
