MY TURN:

Esther 7 is the ultimate reversal of roles and Haman’s pride resulted in his own demise.

But Esther’s wisdom and courage are definitely the the thing that strikes me most. She was an orphan girl whom God used to deliver His people from ultimate death. Her life challenges us to live courageously and be willing to step into our God-given roles with the determination to do what is right and necessary especially when it’s hard…even if it means we have to sacrifice.

In Esther 8 we see Mordecai honored and given a position of authority and the children of Israel given the right to protect themselves.

So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.” Esther 8:15-17

We we live our lives in a way that honors God, he will exalt us in due time. He promises.

James 4:10 tells us, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

Today, I’m not sure what you are waiting to see God do in your life, but keep on living as you should, doing what honors God, being brave, bold and courageous, giving when it is necessary, sacrificing when you have the chance. Be faithful, be fervent and He will lift you when it’s the right time. You have His Word on it.
