This Christmas season has been a very busy one for the Shott family!

If you’re a care taker you know that days are long and nights can be longer when your loved one is in the hospital on and off for a month or more and when they go home, you’re the one who cares for them 24/7.

I know you’re busy, and I’m not sure if you realized you weren’t getting your weekly posts, but I’ve been SO very M.I.A. (missing in action) over the past couple of months and I am so sorry I haven’t been able to keep up this whole blogging thing.

But I wanted to pop in and say I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!

I realize life can throw us a curve ball at times, and we may not be able to keep up with things like we used to, but God is never surprised by the things that alter our lives and circumstances.

He gives us the grace we need for each step of the way and calls us to be faithful to Him in the midst of it all.

Today, I wanted to encourage all whose lives have been turned upside down – all who have had a difficult holiday season because of the loss of a loved one, a sickness, or for any other reason…

Press in and press on! Emmanuel is with you. He has not forsaken you! You are not alone in your journey. Press in to Him and press on in your circumstances with unwavering faith.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Cor 12:9 (NKJV)

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)

And from our house to yours, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and that your 2014 will be a year when you will experience the extravagant blessings of His love for you and that you will be able to see Him do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ask or think!

He’s really good at that, ya know!

What difficulties are you facing today? How can I pray for you? What do you hope to see Jesus do in 2014?
