When Mother’s Day is Hard & a Radio Interview I Hope You Won’t Miss

Hey there sweet friends! It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and it will be my FIRST Mother’s Day without either mom.

Many of you know my mom went home to be with Jesus about 3 1/2 years ago and my birthmom joined her in October of last year. So, this year, I’m mother-less for Mother’s Day and my youngest son is living in Manhattan, so one of my sons won’t be with me on Mother’s Day too.

Sort of strange for someone who loves her mommas and loves being a momma.

BUT GOD.

He has given me the grace to press into Him through this season that is sometimes hard for moms like me…and for moms who have suffered extreme loss, maybe even the loss of a child.

So, for each of you, I want to encourage your heart with BUT GOD!

Yes, sweet friend. He is the strength of your life! Press into Him. Lean on Him. Trust in Him. He is there for you even on those days that are hard. Like when you’re without your mom on Mother’s Day. Or without your children.

Big hugs to each of you!

And I want to ask you to join me tomorrow night (Sunday at 9 Central) on 89.7 Power FM on the PowerTalk show with Autumn Miles and Rick Walker.

I met Autumn in California when I went out there to do a video shoot for The Making of a Mom. We connected instantly and I just love her heart and passion.

And I’m honored to be their guest for their Mother’s Day show. You can listen in on 89.7 FM if you’re in the Dallas area or you can go online and listen there. We’re talking Mother’s Day, moms, The M.O.M. Initiative, The Making of a Mom and how mentoring really makes a difference!

Hope you join me! 🙂
