In a world gone mad, many are wondering how things ever got this way in the first place. The economy has taken a nosedive; the jobless rates are higher than imaginable; we have lost our moral compass… choosing to call what is right, wrong, and what is wrong, right. We have accepted homosexuality and called it tolerance; we have chosen to protect the whales, yet kill unborn babies; we have ignored responsibility and called it choice; we have been lulled into believing pornography is just a form of freedom of expression; we’ve allowed our political leaders to assume they are above the law rather than expecting them to be above reproach. We are really in a mess aren’t we.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 reminds us that there is nothing new under the sun. So, don’t be surprised by what is going on around you. Don’t be troubled by the trouble your see. Take heart and know that Jesus…the Prince of Peace, can speak peace to your storm and He can speak peace to you in the midst of your storm. There may be nothing new under the sun, but the God of all creation makes all things new. One day, all wrongs will be made right. One day, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. One day, we see Him as He is, and everything will make sense. Until then, let us live each day in light of THAT day…with our eyes on the prize…the prize of hearing those coveted words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
I like the new look.
