How You Might Be Messing Up Your Own Happily-Ever-After

Childhood dreams of a knight in shining armor sweeping you off your feet. Nightly dinners by candlelight, and cuddly kisses by the fireplace. Walks on the beach filled with hands held tight and endless conversation. A home. A life. A family. Faith. Friends. All the makings of the kinds of story that ends with with words, “And they all lived happily ever-after.”

That may be what your little girl dreams of marriage were made of, but I’m guessing if you’re hear – reading this – that the marriage you dreamed about is not the marriage you are in right now.

Marriage can be hard. But it doesn’t have to be as hard as we sometimes make it. We can even unintentionally become the wrecking ball that is destroying the foundational building blocks of our own marriage.
