We can try to ride out the storm on our own ~ or we can depend on the Anchor to do what an anchor does… Keep us steady and safe until the storm passes.
We may get battered by storm, but we can rest in the truth that our Anchor holds.
Today, you may be battered by the circumstances of your life. Jesus is your Anchor. Trust Him to keep you safe until the storm passes by.
Let your Anchor steady you now.
Jesus puts the period of truth at the end of each promise He has made.
Jesus not only affirms His those promises to be as good as done – He IS the affirmation of what He says.
Because of the cross, Jesus can rightfully intercede for us in the judicial sense guaranteeing that the binding contract (covenant) we have with Him can not be broken regardless of what we do.
And in a relational sense, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit stand with us, beside us, intercedes for us, and helps us.
One of the problems that stem from lowering the bar when it comes to Bible study is that we demonstrate that God isn’t as important to us as we say He is.
