A Question You Can’t Ignore

It’s a question every person on the planet has to answer for themselves.

Who is Jesus to you?

We’ve heard what others have said about who Jesus is, but who do you say that He is?

If you say He is really the Christ, who came to take away the sins of the world, then you how do you respond to what you know to be true?

If you say you don’t believe that He is the Christ and that you don’t believe He died for your sins, then your unbelief has become your response.

If you say He’s only a teacher or a good man or a prophet, then you base your belief on your own assumptions rather than the declaration He made about Himself.

Your selected belief is your response to the question we all must answer.

It’s important to note that Jesus made many claims about who He is.

To give you just a very small glimpse at some of the names, titles, and descriptions Jesus attributed to Himself, I have provided the seven “I AM” statements of Jesus below.

Jesus said, I AM…

1. Bread of LifeJohn 6:35

I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”

2. Light of the world– John 8:12

I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

3. Door (Gate) – John 10:9

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”

4. Good ShepherdJohn 10:11

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”

5. Resurrection & the Life – John 11:25-26

25 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

6. The Way, The Truth, & The LifeJohn 14:6

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

7. The Vine – John 15:5

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

Those are just seven of the titles Jesus gave Himself.

He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who came to die a cruel death on the cross to pay for your sins and my sins and the sins of the whole world…even those who have mocked Him and rejected Him. He died for us all.

Three days later, He rose up out of the grave, was seen by over 500 people and then ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.

He loves each of us with a relentless, sacrificial love, unconditional love and will save all who will turn to Him in faith as their Lord and Savior.

Why would you reject such love?

Today, give your life to the One who gave His life for you!

You’ll never regret giving your life to Christ. You’ll eternally regret it if you don’t.

Oh sweet friend… who do you believe that He is? It’s the most important question you’ll ever answer.

Eternally His,

Steph
Phil 3:7-14
