When You Don’t Know Where to Start Reading the Bible…

We all started somewhere? I remember sitting by the river reading Revelation and having no idea what it meant.

But God used my lack of understanding to draw me unto Himself. I wanted to know what it said. I wanted to know Him.

After I became a Christian, I couldn’t get enough of reading the Word of God.

Now, when people ask me where to start, I always encourage them to begin with the Gospel of John and then move into the book of James.

John reveals God’s relentless, unconditional love for mankind and James tells us how to live for the Lord once we become a Christian.

But if someone were to only read one chapter of the Bible, I would point them to John 3.

Romans 8 for the believer, for sure… but John 3 for the unbeliever and for the Christian who is struggling in their faith.

How about you? What chapter would you encourage people to read?
